Learning Resources is able to digitise chapters from books and journal articles subject to Copyright. These digitisations can then be uploaded to the VLE for your students to access. For Learning Resources to create a digitalisation you will need the module code and module title, number of students taking the module and number of weeks taught. The book/journal article needs to be available in the library and in the case of a book be the latest edition.
In exceptional circumstances where we cannot acquire a printed book, journal or magazine on the retail market (or the second-hand market) and cannot acquire a Copyright Fee Paid Copy and where no suitable digital version is available, we may make copies from a copy owned personally by an academic or administrative member of staff.
To check if an article/book is covered under our HE licence, type in the ISBN number into the title search tool below
Complete this on-line form to request digitisation of book or journal.
