Finding OER

Some suggestions for locating OERs to use in your teaching and learning materials:

Images

Flickr – Check what is says under each individual image (bottom right hand side)
FreeFoto – Collection of photos that are free for on-line use, and off-line use if it is not commercial.
Getty Images – Although these images are not released under a Creative Commons licence, an embed code for each image is available to paste.
Google – Narrow your search by usage rights.
Gratisography – A relatively new project that has fewer images than some of the other examples listed. However, it does provide beautiful, high-resolution images that are available to download completely free of copyright restrictions.
ImageAfter – A large online free photo collection.
Morguefile – A stock of free stock photos.
Pixabay – A repository for public domain pictures. You can use any Pixabay image without attribution in digital and printed form, even for commercial application applications.
Wellcome Images – Thousands of images with the appropriate licence made clear on each image web page.
